Austin Wok N’ Roll

Austin Wok N’ Roll - 5119 Burnet Road - Austin, TX 78756 - 512-451-2345

We recently just discovered Wok N’ Roll and are glad at the find.  This place has been around for several years and has established a reputation as a very reasonably priced chinese food option in town.  The dishes are pretty much the standard fare with some Kung Pao this and Sweet and Sour that.  The dishes while not mind blowing are more than worth the $4 dollars that you will pay for heaping portions of whatever it is you want.  The lunch deals are such a good deal that we may soon supplant Magic Wok, another reliable and cheap chinese food staple with Wok n’ Roll.  Another thing that we would like to mention about AWN’R is that they are very veggie friendly - most dishes can be made with Tofu at no additional cost.  Since the menu choice is fairly wide this offers our vegetarian readers the opportunity to experiment.

All in all a hearty chinese meal for a reasonable price.

One thing I love about Wok ‘n Roll is that they have 2 menus. There’s the “Americanized” Chinese menu, which you seem to be talking about with the Sweet and Sours and the Kung Paos, and there’s the also cheap but much more exotic menu that has the roast duck, the steamed chicken covered in a ginger paste, crispy noodles and other more unusual (and in my opinion, more delicious) items.
